Description
Shure SM7B
Explore Shure SM7B with United AV Pro for your professional audio or production setup.
Shure SM7B is a cardioid dynamic microphone for speech, singing and recording. Its wide response, shielding and mounting arrangement make it suitable for a fixed microphone position in broadcast, voiceover, podcasting or a studio session. This listing is for SM7B, distinct from the separately named SM7dB model with a built-in preamp.
The rear switches provide bass rolloff and presence emphasis in addition to the flat response setting. Bass rolloff changes the low-frequency balance; the presence setting brings forward the midrange. These controls let the engineer evaluate a different starting sound before equalisation at the console or interface. They do not replace microphone placement or room treatment.
